Connecting Rentec Direct to Market Ready Turn

Turn on the sync — properties, owners, and vendors flow in; work orders flow back out. You do this once, and it stays connected for your whole company.

⏱ About five minutes

What the integration does

Once connected, Market Ready Turn keeps your turnover work and your Rentec Direct account in step, so your team never enters the same data twice:

Rentec Direct is your source of truth. Anything you want to use in Market Ready Turn — a property, an owner, a vendor — should be entered in Rentec Direct first, then pulled into Market Ready Turn with a tap. That keeps your unit count (and your billing) matched to your real portfolio, with no double entry.
Before you begin You'll need an administrator login for your Rentec Direct account to create the API key. Have the key handy — you'll enter it right after you create your account and confirm your email. (Whoever sets it up becomes the company's Super Admin.)

Step 1

Create a Rentec Direct API key

Do this once, inside Rentec Direct:

  1. Log in to Rentec Direct.
  2. Go to Settings → Tools.
  3. Under Tools, click Utilities.
  4. On the Utilities page, click the purple API Keys button.
  5. Click Add API Key.
  6. For the type, choose Rentec API (v3).
  7. In the Name field, enter Market Ready Turn (so you'll recognize it later).
  8. Set the permissions to exactly these:
DataPermissionWhy
PropertiesReadImport your units
OwnersReadAuto-fill the owner on each unit
VendorsReadImport your vendor directory
Work OrdersRead + WritePush work orders back into Rentec
  1. Click Generate.
  2. Copy the key it shows you — you'll paste it into Market Ready Turn next.
Keep this key private. Treat it like a password. You don't need to write it down — if you ever lose it, just come back to this screen in Rentec and generate a new one with the same permissions.

Step 2

Create your Market Ready Turn account

  1. Go to marketreadyturn.com and click Log in, then choose Create your company on the sign-in screen.
  2. Enter your company name, your name, email, and a password, then click Create company.

Whoever creates the company becomes its Super Admin — the person who connects Rentec and manages the account.

Step 3

Confirm your email

Check your inbox for the confirmation email, click the link to verify your account, then sign in to finish setting up your company.

Step 4

Connect Rentec Direct

After you sign in, you'll land on Activate your subscription (Step 1 of 2):

  1. Under Your property management system, choose Rentec Direct.
  2. Paste your Rentec API key and click Connect & verify units.
  3. Market Ready Turn validates the key against Rentec and counts your units — if it's mistyped or missing a permission, you'll get a clear message right away.

Your key is stored encrypted on the server, tied to your company — it never lives on a device.

Step 5

Review billing & get instant access

Step 2 of 2: your unit count comes straight from Rentec — never a self-reported number — and that's what your subscription is billed on. Confirm and pay, and you have instant access to the full platform.

Changing your key later You can update your Rentec API key or re-run Verify permissions any time from your Admin home page — just select Rentec Direct.

You're in — here's what happens now

Troubleshooting

The owner is blank when I pick a property.

Your API key is missing the Owners → Read permission. Add it on the key in Rentec (Settings → Tools → Utilities → API Keys), then reconnect.

A property shows as just a unit name with no address.

That unit's street address isn't filled in on its Rentec record. Add it in Rentec — Market Ready Turn's Scan property data tool flags any units missing an address.

“Push work order to Rentec” doesn't appear.

It shows only when the unit was imported from Rentec and the assigned vendor is one of your Rentec vendors. Import the unit / link the vendor, and confirm the key has Work Orders → Write.
